Software Health

How healthy is your software, technically?

An independent view of code, architecture, security and technical debt by senior engineers, before you decide whether you need developers, QA, DevOps, architecture or nothing at all.

Health Check

“How healthy is our software technically?”

An independent baseline of the software you run today. Senior engineers review the technical risks in the context of your business and roadmap.

What we look at
  • Code quality and maintainability
  • Architecture and the choices that carry it
  • Security concerns
  • Technical debt, sized and ranked

A short report with priorities and an online session with your team.

We agree scope, access, timing and price before a review starts.

Stage: Scale

Scale Readiness / Risk Assessment

“Can our technology and development organisation support further growth?”

Looks beyond the code: whether architecture, infrastructure, delivery process and team set-up hold up when usage, customers or team size grow.

What we look at
  • Architecture and infrastructure limits
  • Performance and reliability risks
  • Delivery process and release flow
  • Team capacity and key-person risk

A risk map with the first things to address before they slow growth down.

We agree scope, access, timing and price before a review starts.

Stage: Quality

Independent Quality Review

“When did someone independent last review our software?”

A fresh perspective on software built by your team, an existing partner or with AI. Understand what is working, where risks are building and which improvements matter.

What we look at
  • Code quality, tests and maintainability
  • Architecture and security concerns
  • Findings prioritised for your business
  • A review session with your team

A clear set of findings and recommended next steps. Agree the review scope first; recurring reviews are available through Software Health Monitor.

We agree scope, access, timing and price before a review starts.

Optional ongoing monitoring

Start with clarity. Keep technical health visible.

Start with a free Blueprint for a first indication of where you are. A standalone assessment answers a specific question today. Software Health Monitor adds recurring reviews to revisit priorities and discuss what has changed. Choose ongoing support when it is useful for your team.

How we work

Understand first. Then help where needed.

  1. UnderstandYour product, stage, team and what is at stake for the business.
  2. AssessAn independent look at the code, architecture, risks and delivery.
  3. AdviseClear priorities: what deserves attention now, and what can wait.
  4. MonitorWhere useful, revisit findings and track changes through recurring reviews.
  5. Help where neededOnly when you ask: engineers, teams or specialists to execute.
Independent by design

The insight is yours. So is the decision.

We first help you understand what deserves attention technically. What you do with that is up to you. Our advice does not depend on selling you a team.

After an assessment, you can

  • Solve it with your own team
  • Hand it to your existing partner
  • Decide it can wait, for now
  • Ask Codifire to support the execution

No obligation to use Codifire for the follow-up work.

Your questions, answered

Questions we often get

What is a software health check?

A software health check is an independent review of the code, architecture, security and technical debt of software that is already in production. At Codifire, senior engineers do it in about two weeks and end with a short report of priorities and a session with your team.

How is a Codifire review different from an automated code scan?

An automated scan measures code against a benchmark; a Codifire review is done by senior engineers who read your code in the context of your business, team and roadmap. You get priorities and a conversation about what to do next, not only scores.

What does an independent code review cost?

Blueprint is free. Software Health Monitor is €999/year, and Software Health + NIS2 Evidence starts from €1,999/year, excluding VAT. For a standalone assessment, we agree scope and price before the review.

What is included in Software Health + NIS2 Evidence?

Software Health + NIS2 Evidence adds scoped technical evidence around security, secure development, vulnerability handling and software supply-chain risk to Software Health Monitor. The scope and evidence requirements are agreed together. It is not a certification or a guarantee of compliance.

Do we have to hire Codifire after an assessment?

No. The findings are yours: you can fix them with your own team, hand them to your current partner, decide they can wait, or ask Codifire to help.

Can you review software built with AI coding tools?

Yes. AI tools make it faster to build software, not to make it production-ready. We check security, architecture, tests and maintainability of AI-generated code the same way as any other code.

What do you need from us to start?

Read-only access to the relevant repositories and documentation, and a technical contact. We sign an NDA before we look at any code.
